The Workshop
Join us for creative workshops in our cozy mezzanine! Whether you're shaping clay, painting, or exploring other crafty art forms, you'll learn new skills in a fun and welcoming space. Who knows? You might even discover a new favourite hobby!

Our workshops are kept small for a more hands-on experience, with our expert host guiding you every step of the way. Looking for a private event? You can reserve the space for your own gathering or even host your own workshop!

Our Story.
Lyall's Marketplace is named after Megan's grandfather, and son. The concept was created to help and support entrepreneurs, to let them focus on the creative side of their business - leaving the overhead to Lyall's Marketplace. We hold the intention of bringing different types of entrepreneurs together to sell in one communal space. By doing this, we can have a variety of businesses for our customers to easily shop from in one location.
Our workshops allow us to share our passion for creativity. You can learn a new skill, meet new people, maybe develop a new hobby, and share some memories with friends (and a lot of laughs). Megan has always enjoyed teaching people, and sharing her tips and tricks - there is always room for more creative individuals.

There are many other amazing stores that showcase entrepreneurs. We wanted to add a new space as our community continues to grow. As more and more people develop new passions and need a space to share their unique ideas with Edmonton, there must be ample room in order to create less repetition in these stores. By opening Lyall's Marketplace, this gives our brand owners the opportunity to showcase their talents, and not have to compete with a heavily populated market.

We would love to meet you, come in to shop, take a class, or say hello!

Megan Forsberg
Owner

From polymer clay, painting, making decals, doing sublimation crafts, and everything in between - Megan truly has tried almost everything. Currently learning how to embroider (really just poking herself over and over with a needle) she has the passion and for learning new things and is full of creativity!

Hosting classes, working behind the till, and sorting through boxes in the back, you will see her 99% of the time when you come into Lyall's. This business is her (2nd) baby, and she loves getting to know the folks who make up the small business community - and meeting all of you who visit the store!

She’s currently wrapping up her eighth year of journaling and continues to pour her creativity into drawing beautiful monthly and weekly spreads that keep her organized.
When she’s not journaling you’ll find her designing silly greeting cards for her small business or gathering new art supplies to add to her pile of works in progress.
