Shop over 70 local brands from Edmonton, and all over Canada. You will be sure to find something one of kind for yourself, or a gift! Our vendors rent space, and keep all their monthly sales! Lyall's is passionate about helping entrepreneurs and hobbyists.
The Mezzanine
Take a creative workshops upstairs in our mezzanine. Creating with clay, paint, and other crafty art supplies you will learn new skills. Who knows maybe you'll find a new side hobby! We keep workshops small, and our host will be there every step of the way. You can also reserve the room for a private event, or host your own workshop.
We are all inclusive, you can feel at home here.
Our Story.
Lyall's Marketplace is named after Megan's grandfather, and son. The concept was created to help and support entrepreneurs, to let them focus on the creative side of their business - leaving the overhead to Lyall's Marketplace. We hold the intention of bringing different types of entrepreneurs together to sell in one communal space. By doing this, we can have a variety of businesses for our customers to easily shop from in one location.
Our classes allow us to share our passion for creativity. You can learn a new skill, meet new people, maybe develop a new hobby, and share some memories with friends (and a lot of laughs). Megan has always enjoyed teaching people, and sharing her tips and tricks - there is always room for more creative individuals.
There are many other amazing stores that showcase entrepreneurs. We wanted to add a new space as our community continues to grow. As more and more people develop new passions and need a space to share their unique ideas with Edmonton, there must be ample room in order to create less repetition in these stores. By opening Lyall's Marketplace, this gives our brand owners the opportunity to showcase their talents, and not have to compete with a heavily populated market.

Megan Forsberg
Owner
From polymer clay, painting, making decals, doing sublimation crafts, and everything in between - Megan truly has tried almost everything. Currently learning how to embroider (really just poking herself over and over with a needle) she has the passion and for learning new things and is full of creativity!
Hosting classes, working behind the till, and sorting through boxes in the back, you will see her 99% of the time when you come into Lyall's. This business is her (2nd) baby, and she loves getting to know the folks who make up the small business community - and meeting all of you who visit the store!

Victoria
Retail Associate
Leading with the curiosity of her inner child, the world has become her playground. With the belief of "I don't know now but I can learn", Victoria has gone from being a sketch artist to painter to wood burner to now pushing the boundaries of traditional crocheting and giving it a modern twist. With a laundry list of things she'd love to try and multiple pinterest boards with inspirations, her downtime is never dull and she is the first person you'll hear say "Let's do this!". Her heart is at its fullest when she is able to share a space with other creators, no matter the skill level, no matter the craft.
When you walk into Lyall's Marketplace, Victoria will be there with contagious enthusiasm about the small businesses that have made Lyall's their home. An eagerness to hear about your day along with one on one assistance. And if you're lucky, you may be able to catch one of her awful dad jokes while you visit!
Leo Peraza
Owner
Leo is really just along for the ride. Dabbling in the back, eating all the chamoy candy, helping us move things around, and saying hello when you come through the door! You will see his friendly face around the store occasionally.

Retail Associate
A playful and creative joy-seeker, Andi is awestruck and inspired by the beauty in the simple and ordinary. She’s been an enthusiastic crafter all her life, if she hasn’t tried it yet, she likely has plans to and can often be heard saying “I can make that!”. As everyone’s hype girl, Andi believes you can too! She has fond memories of her time teaching scrapbooking and mixed media art classes. She truly enjoys encouraging and empowering others to find their creative spark!
When Andi isn’t warmly welcoming you into Lyall’s Marketplace, you will probably find her performing random acts of Art Abandonment, watching home reno shows, hunting for street murals and snapping endless photos of all her adventures!

After jet-setting around the world for 25 years working as a corporate event manager, Ruth has made Edmonton her home. Drawing inspiration from nature and travel, she is always looking for new ways to be creative! She can usually be found working on her latest DIY home, or art project. Ruth finds joy planning her next travel adventure, capturing life’s moments through photos. In her free time, practicing meditation & yoga!
With a natural ability to connect with others, Ruth takes pleasure in providing personalized assistance to help you in finding the perfect gift for yourself, or a special someone!
